Complete Hockey to Coach Women's Hockey Team
VERNON HILLS, IL -- Complete Hockey, one of Chicago's premier skating and hockey instructional programs, will coach the Glacier Vixens, a new senior women's "C" level (WCHL) hockey team this fall. Coaching duties will be split between Eric Schneider, Chad Schneider, and Al Dunbar. All three coaches have extensive backgrounds as hockey coaches and players. Eric was an Asst. Division I coach at UIC and the head coach at NIU for two seasons where he coached them to the National Championship tournament. He also coached the Chicago Bluesman, a professional roller hockey team. Al Dunbar, a former UIC offensive standout, was recently an Asst. Division I coach at Lake Superior State University. All three also coach for the Chicago Chill, a AAA hockey club that competes in the Michigan National Hockey League.
The Vixens are currently accepting registrations for the upcoming 2001-2002 season. An Open House is scheduled for Sunday, September 9th, at 3:30 p.m. at the Glacier Ice Arena, 670 N. Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills. The season is scheduled to begin with a practice on Saturday, September 15th at 9:20 p.m. at Glacier.
