VERNON HILLS, IL -- Games, giveaways, and prizes will be featured at the Glacier Vixens' first Spirit Night, Saturday, October 26 at 7:00 pm at the Glacier Ice Arena. All hockey fans are welcome to join in the festivities. The Vixens (2-2-0) are a senior women's hockey team sponsored by the Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills. The Vixens will face the Fox Valley #2 team.
VERNON HILLS, IL - A Bake Sale will be held October 27 from 8 am - Noon at the Glacier Ice Arena in Vernon Hills. The sale is being organized by the Glacier Vixens, a senior women's hockey team that is sponsored by the rink. All proceeds will benefit the 9-11-01 Disaster Relief Fund.
VERNON HILLS, IL -- Complete Hockey, one of Chicago's premier skating and hockey instructional programs, will coach the Glacier Vixens, a new senior women's "C" level (WCHL) hockey team this fall. Coaching duties will be split between Eric Schneider, Chad Schneider, and Al Dunbar. All three coaches have extensive backgrounds as hockey coaches and players. Eric was an Asst. Division I coach at UIC and the head coach at NIU for two seasons where he coached them to the National Championship tournament.
August 17, 2001 Vernon Hills, IL - The Glacier Ice Arena will be sponsoring the Glacier Vixens, a new senior women's "C" level (WCHL) hockey team this fall. An Open House will take place Sunday, September 9 at 3:30 pm at the Glacier Ice Arena, 670 N. Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills, for interested players.
